Project Map

A full-screen interactive map plotting LIHTC projects nationwide as clustered markers, with a filter bar — for visually exploring the geographic distribution of tax-credit properties.

Step by step

1. Wait for load

   The map opens zoomed to the continental US once marker data loads.
2. Pan & zoom

   Nearby markers cluster into circles that split apart as you zoom in.
3. Filter

   Narrow the view by state, type, credit, year range, sponsor, or bond financing.
4. Watch the count

   The “X of Y projects” counter updates and the map fits to the matching projects.
5. Open a marker

   Click a marker for a popup with the project’s facts.
6. Jump to the record

   Click “View in Database →” to open that project in the Project Database.
7. Reset

   Click Clear All to return to the national view.

What you get

A clustered marker map with per-marker popups (project facts and a deep link into the Project Database) and a live visible/total counter. Filtering happens client-side; there is no export — use the popup’s database link for exportable data.

Tips & notes

• All filtering runs client-side on one up-front data load, so the first load may take a moment but filters apply instantly.
• The year filters apply to Placed-in-Service year only; projects with no PIS year are excluded when a year bound is set.
• Markers cluster until you zoom past level 16 — click a cluster to expand it.
• Only projects with valid coordinates appear on the map.
